Ether.fi Cash Card
A DeFi-linked Visa card with virtual and physical formats, tier-specific issuance fees, and a funding model that deserves more scrutiny than a simple cashback headline.

Editor's Verdict
Ether.fi is most interesting for experienced DeFi users who understand the difference between spending a balance and borrowing against assets. The restored page design stays intact, but our assessment is more cautious: compare membership costs, issuance fees, collateral risk and eligibility before valuing any promotional reward.
What is the Ether.fi Cash Card?
The Ether.fi Cash Card is a Visa card connected to Ether.fi's DeFi account and membership system. Unlike a simple prepaid card, the spending route can involve assets and borrowing mechanics. That distinction matters because keeping crypto exposure may also introduce collateral-price, repayment and liquidation risk.
“Non-custodial” should not be read as “risk-free” or “no intermediaries.” A card transaction still relies on an issuing and payment stack, while the onchain account has its own contracts, permissions and funding rules. Read the current account documentation before committing a large balance.
The clearest current numbers are issuance fees. Ether.fi's July 2026 article lists virtual cards at $10 for Core, Luxe and Pinnacle and physical cards at $50 for Core or $100 for Luxe and Pinnacle; VIP is listed at $0 for both formats. Membership and reward terms should be checked separately because they can change.
The provider also documents a zero-markup EUR beta for qualifying EUR purchases using supported spend tokens. This is narrower than “0% FX worldwide,” and merchant or ATM dynamic currency conversion can still create a poor exchange rate.
Primary references: physical-card fees and EUR purchase beta. Terms can change after our August 2026 check.

Advantages
- DeFi-linked account design can avoid a manual card top-up workflow
- Provider documentation explains virtual and physical card options
- EUR zero-markup beta may reduce one fee layer on qualifying transactions
- Apple Pay and Google Pay support can simplify mobile spending where available
- Current issuance pricing is documented separately for each tier and format
Limitations
- Full KYC required — not suitable for privacy-focused users
- Country eligibility must be confirmed during the live application
- Card fees and membership economics vary by tier
- The EUR zero-markup beta is narrow and does not protect against merchant DCC
- Borrowing against assets adds collateral, repayment and liquidation considerations
- Physical issuance is $50 at Core and $100 at Luxe or Pinnacle in the July 2026 fee article
